Steve Scotland and England joined an equal partnership in the Act of Unions in 1707. This formed Great Britian. The Scottish King was made the King of Great Briitan and his linage continues, so the logic of and English King ruling Scotland is ass backwards.
The point of contention is that when the union occurred, Scotland and Englands populations were somewhat similar, however over time thanks to immigration and sluts, England now has a population 8 times larger than Scotland, so we get squashed democratically (hate the Tories, but still get the tories half the time.) So they devolved a lot of responsibility locally to the Scottish Parliament to quell this discontent. In 2014 we had a vote, 45% of Scotland wanted to become independent from Great Britian but 55% wanted to stay. We are here.
Scotland has gained a lot from this partnership as we've grown a lot economically, with that said, we've distributed the North Sea oil across the Kingdom when we could have become Norway oil rich with Independence.
It's a good legacy until you see people conflating Britian with England.
